The gentleman today who worked on my husband and myself was amazing! My husband needed more deep massaging and I not so much and he was great with us both! Also I did not realize my back needed to pop that bad till he did it and I can stand up straight! It felt so good! Thank you we will be back!
My neck has been absolutely hurting so bad for last month or so. I came to Vida for a 30 minute chair massage. I didn't have to wait long. My massage therapist worked my neck so good and it did hurt at times but felt good at the same time. Pressure is pretty hard but I needed this. I'm ready to come back tomorrow for more.
this was the first time ive been here, and im never coming back!! malls have a very strict rule of no taking clothes off, but they did exactly the opposite.i was very uncomfortable. dont come here!! / edit. vida spa i am not trying to attack you. last week i came here and a different man welcomed me. he was a little sarcastic about me and a friend asking questions, and couldnt understand what she was even asking. he wasnt very focused on us, as he was massaging a customer. a very impolite man, but whatevs.
I'm going to have to update this due to my second visit today. I went back hoping to see Kai again, but only an older woman with grey spikey hair was there at the time. I did not catch her name. Today was the first time I ever almost got off the table and stopped a massage while it was still going. She seemed to speak English well upon greeting me and talking about my issues and pints of focus needed. She had a horrible technique or elbows too deep (I love a deep tissue massage, but I had to ask her to have less pressure multiple times), and she found every bone, rib, and vertebrae with those elbows. In a 60 minute session, she spent about 75% of the time on my left side. So much that it was rubbed raw and red. I told her I was there for my neck and asked for back, neck, shoulder, and extra neck. She said "lots of neck, yes." I eventually told her "no more back. Neck only." That was because my left side of my back was so raw by then. She started "massaging" my neck by jerking my neck and head around so erratically that I stopped her immediately and said "I have a headache. I need you to massage me SLOWLY and RELAXINGLY." She said "oh sorry." Then she started doing that. It only lasted about 3 minutes and then she was back on the left side of my back! I told her "no more back" again and she started arguing with me and told me she "knows what she is doing." Throughout the massage, she kept massaging in my left armpit HARD and DEEP and it hurt (this happened like @ dozen times, not in a row, but like at random times as if she didn't know she'd just been there). I closed my arms twice, and on the second time, she moved my arm and went back in. On the third time I moved my arm to close off my armpit, I said "NO MORE!" She said "I'm sorry. You ok?" I didn't respond, I was so mad. She asked again and I said "I'm ok, I just wish you would listen to me." She said things under her breath, not in English, and then said she'd flip me over and "help my headache." She finally did that, spent 2 minutes on my neck, while doing the weirdest motions, digging her nails into my neck and chest (I still have red marks, 12 hours later), and I almost got off the table again. Once I was finally done and about to stand up, and tell her to leave, the alarm went off that the session was done. I've never had a therapist argue with me on the table. I left with my left breast aching a lot due to the pressure she was putting on the left side of my face down body for 55 of the 60 minutes. Again, I normally get deep pressure, but this was extreme. I got home with redness and scratches all over my back, chest, and neck. 12 hours later, I have many ribs and vertibrae that are very sore. Now I have no confidence to ever go back, even though my first experience was positive. This person needs restraining and to be taken off the floor immediately. The best way to get to this place is to go into the entrance in between Dillard's and TJ Maxx on the lower floor and then take the elevator to the second floor. I had a really great first time experience here with an older gentleman named Kai. He was really fantastic and really worked the kinks out of my neck and listened to what I needed and did not just perform whatever massage he normally performs. It was fantastic and I will be back!
